In Markus 9 lees ons hoe die Here Jesus sy arms om 'n kindjie geslaan het en aan sy dissipels gesê het: “Elkeen wat een van sulke kindertjies ontvang in my Naam, ontvang My” (Markus 9:37). Daaruit leer ons twee dinge: die Here wil hê dat ons ons oor die kinders moet ontferm en dat ons in ons geloof sal groei wanneer ons dit doen. Koningskinders is dus by uitstek gemeentelike werk en alle gelowiges word aangemoedig om iets soortgelyk in hulle gemeenskap aan te pak.
