Die afgelope Woensdag het Suid-Afrika die gebeure van 16 Junie 1976 herdenk. Op daardie dag het duisende skoolkinders in Soweto in opstand gekom teen owerheid en in die proses skole, klinieke en biblioteke aan die brand gesteek. Hierdie verskynsel is simptomaties van dit wat die Westerse wêreld nou al dekades lank ervaar: 'n jeug in opstand teen die gesag wat oor hulle gestel is. In antwoord op hierdie verskynsel word ons ouers en vaders opgeroep om hulle verantwoordelikheid na te kom deur hulle kinders in die vrese van die Here op te voed.
